Mangaluru: “Some are spreading false messages regarding the government hospitals which are providing best treatment to poor. Medical sector is not a corporate sector it is considered as to be a service sector. The department is ready to provide more facilities to the people through the government hospitals,” said State health minister Ramesh Kumar.
He was speaking after inaugurating Wenlock ambulance response service, Janasanjeevini medicals, Samyukta AYUSH, special treatment unit, outpatient X-Ray unit and renovated sell ward on Friday.
“Those are working in medical sector cannot give life to anyone, but they do not snatch life of anyone. It is important to treat a patient honestly. In case any death occurs due to dishonesty or negligence then it is cruel work than a murder,” he said.
He further said that doctors and officials should serve with a smiling face, this will help the patient to overcome their problems. Mother Teresa should be the role model for each people.
“One day even the rich people who prefer private hospitals also will admit in government hospitals. Staffs and doctors should create such environment here in the government hospitals,” he added.
