Mangalore : State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader who arrived at a training programme for Asha workers at the Samarthya Saudha of Taluk Panchayat, heard the grievances of the workers and assured solutions to the same.
He said talks have been held with the chief minister to offer matching grant equivalent to honorarium provide to Asha workers serving unde the National Rural Health Mission.
He said he was aware of the problems of the Asha worker and admitted that they were getting less when compared to the works done by them.He said Asha workers who identify patients under Vajpayee Argoya Shree programme and bring them to hospitals will get an incentive of Rs 200 and the incentive will be Rs 100 more if the patient belongs to SC ST category.
