Mangalore : Heavy rains that have been lashing the district since the past two to three days has brought problems unlimited.Several houses have submerged. Floods have hit hard many families while many more have been shifted to safer places.
Places such as Jeppinamogru, Alekala, Kallapu, Patla, Adamkudru, Ullal-uliyal and neighbouring areas were flooded with water, as water level in Netravathi rose.
The building of St Sebastian higher primary school in Adamkudru faced problems as water gushed in. Students had to reach homes in boats.
Minister for Health and Family Welfare U T Khader and Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner N Prakash visited the affected areas. Speaking to press men, the minister said all arrangements will be made to shift affected people to safer places. All possible assistance would be provided to them, he said.
