Mangaluru : As a precautionary measure against the backdrop of intensifying rains in D.K. district, schools were closed on Thursday (June 27) in order of DC.

A holiday has been declared for all Anganwadi, government, aided and private primary and high schools in the district on Thursday.

Tourists have been advised not to go to low-lying areas, lakes, rivers and seashores where there is water.
