Mangalore: Mr Kodandaram, City block education officer has declared holiday to schools and colleges on July 30, Friday.
The heavy rain on July 29, Thursday have caused heavy damage to the property and flooding in many areas in the city.
Some houses were damaged after an adjacent compound wall collapsed. Floods at Car Street, Bunder, Kottara, Jeppinamogaru, Kudroli, and many other low lying areas have affected the daily lives of city dwellers.
