Subrahmanya: Due to incessant pouring rains, the Kumaradhara river near the holy temple of Kukke Subrahmanya (Naga), was in floods, and on Friday overflowed its banks, to cause natural fury that inconvenienced thousands of devotees observing Nag Panchmi festival in town.
The turbulent waters in undated the road to Subrahmanya , blocking regular and tourist traffic, and refusing pedestrians to use the road under the fast flowing waters.
A bridge across Kaikambe hole(rivulet) is feared to be covered by waters soon if rains continued. The rain waters submerged Uppinangady road going to Subrahmanya also.
A house in (Talpady DK ) was damaged totally . A cowshed was razed in Mulky. Attavara(Mangalore) had a landslide. A tree in Kodialbail collapsed on the road, blocking traffic.
Sullia had highest rainfall of 74.2mm. House collapses were reported from the Udupi district also.
