Bangalore : Heavy rains that lashed the state capital on May 8, Tuesday threw normal life completely out of gear. Several low lying areas were left inundated, main roads too suffering due to water clogging and several trees got uprooted in various part of the city.
The problems even led to traffic snarls hitting hard the common man. Trees rolled onto roads near HKB College, Okalipuram RR Kalyana Mantap and other places disruption vehicular traffic. The corporation authorities rushed to the scene and helped in clearing the road.
Met department sources said a rainfall of 27 mm was recorded in the city and 9.8 mm in the airport area.
