Mangalore :  Rains accompanied with strong winds uprooted a huge tree on Arya Samaj Road in Mangalore on the morning of September 13, Thursday,  disrupting power supply as well as blocking vehicular traffic. Electric poles were also damaged in the incident.

The tree was located near the Presidency Apartment and it came crashing down  in the process damaging two electricity poles.

MESCOM staff is at the spot making efforts to restore power supply and are hopeful to do so by evening.
