Dharmasthala: The Dr. Veerendra Heggade family conducted the feet worship of Bahubali image erected atop a hill in Dharmasthala on Wednesday.
Lakshmisena Bhattaraka Swamiji delivered the religious speech on the occasion. M.K.Dharmaraja from New Delhi was present with the Heggade family during the worship and oration.
Bhattaraka Swamiji declared that when man’s organs were pure, his worship will please God and opens the door of salvation. The final stage of worship bestows eternal freedom to the soul of man. The Jain Guru insisted that ignorance and allurement for objects should be eliminated, and the individual devotee should single mindedly take to righteous activity.
Lalitha Keerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji of Karkala in his pious address stated that Padabhisheka was better than the Mastakabhisheka conducted once in 12 years, as in Karkala, in providing religious merits to worshippers.
Power is concentrated in the Feet (Pada) of an idol and can wash away sins. In great pilgrimage centres, we lose our sins and dirty attachments by washing the feet of Theerthankaras (Gurus) in all faith to become pure in soul, the Karkala Jain seer Lalithakeerthi informed.
Dharmadhikari Veerendra Heggade and Hemavathi V. Heggade performed the washing of the feet of god Bahubali at the top of the hills.
Brother D.Harshendra Kumar and his wife Supriya, besides Nischal Kumar Heggade attended the religious worship yesterday held at Bahubali hills.
