Mangaluru : “We should contribute our achievements to nation, comfortable life is not is an achievement, some time we should come out of this comfort zone and help people who need our assistance said, Ashwini Angadi, recipient of United Nations Special Envoy for Global Education’s Gordon Brown Youth Achiever’s Award.
Addressing in a motivational interactive programme with students Angadi said that, we should talk high about our traditions, values and ethos instead of adjusting ourselves to the foreign culture, we should tell the foreigners about our culture.
The programme was organized by Yuva Brigade at TV Ramana Pai hall on Saturday March 14.
The 23-year-old youth Achiever and Young Voices Ashwini Angadi said that, her past life on the occasion. She born in a joint family at Chellagurki village in Ballari, her family was disappointed when she was visual impairment, later she admitted to Ramana Maharishi School for the Blind during her days of poverty.
When she was ill during SSLC examination, she said she wrote the exams with the help of her friend, then she studied PUC at NMKRV College for Women by travel 50 km from home without anyone’s help and she completed BA at the Maharani’s College , she said.
We should not adjust to the foreign culture, we are letting down our nation by doing this. We should make efforts to tell the foreigners about our culture, she said.
On the occasion a brochure of Ashwini Angadi’s Trust conceptualised and designed by Konchady Narasimha Shenoy was released.
Chakravarthi Sulibele presented a short introductory note about Ashwini Angadi.
Managing Director of SCDCC Bank of Rajendra Kumar and Naresh Shenoy of Yuva Brigade were present.
