Bangalore: Karnataka has been put on high alert today in view of a possible threat of some 5 terrorists inflating into the state, vice the coastal districts gateway, sources stated here.
Based on an information received from Delhi, CM Yeddyurappa held a high level meeting with Ranganath (Chief Secretary) and top police officials today and then told media persons of an imminent danger. 550 Central Para-military forces were in Bangalore to ward off any threat to law and order in the state.
Some Army commandos were training 200 special police personnel to tackle terrorist menace.
CM has asked DCs to be vigilant, while the present situation is in full control. 5 terrorists have entered India and Mumbai police have released their pictures recently so as to put the local (coastal) authorities ready for counter attacks if needed.
