Bangalore : The state high court has ordered for a CID probe into advocate and notary, B V Keshava Bhat, Keshava Bhimaguli fake stamp-paper case on April 29, Tuesday. Justice S N Satyanarayana heard the case.
It is learnt that, a case was registered against advocate, hailing from Panja in Sullia taluk of Dakshina Kannada district in the Subrahmanya police station regarding vehicle sale agreement with fake registration given to his client I B Timmappayya of Manjulagiri in 2011.
During the arrest, the police seized fake rubber stamps of various government offices, cheques and more general power of attorney papers from his office.
It is recalled that Keshava was arrested by the Subrahmanya police inspector Sunil Kumar for his offence and later was released on station bail, but now the court has ordered his suspension.
High Court advocate Dharmapal Yennemajal appealed to the court to order a CID probe in this regard. The court upheld his argument and has now ordered a probe.
