Bangalore: Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda has on May 22, Tuesday, said that a high level committee would be constituted to investigate into the alleged land scam in the Wakf Board.
He said the committee would submit its report to the government in the next four month period.
The government had earlier constituted a Commission led by State Minorities Commission Chairman Anwar Manippady to look into the issue following a complaint and following media reports that the Wakf Board land had been illegally sold to some politicians. The report by the Manippady led commission submitted to the government in November had mentioned the name of several politicians.
