Mangaluru: The Hindu Hitharakshana Vedike has postponed its protest as Section 144 has been imposed in the district.
Harish Poonja, Hindu Hitharakshana Vedike activist on June 23, Friday said that the Protest will be rescheduled after section revoked.
The protest suppose to be held on June 24, we are cooperating with the police department in restoring peace in the district. Hence we have decided to postpone our programme to a later date” he added.
“Since the Government has failed its responsibilities to take control of the situation in Dakshina Kannada district Hindu Hitharakshana Vedike is making its move to protect the innocents belonging to the Hindu community.”
The BJP had stated that the protest was also against district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai for allegedly asking the police to arrest RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat for the clashes happening in Bantwal.
The Hindu Hitharakshana Vedike along with Bajarang Dal had planned the protest against Love Jihad, attack on Hindu Temples, illegal transportation of cow and cow slaughter.
