Mangaluru : The Akhila Bharata Hindu Mahasabha on Friday opposed the ‘Kiss of Love’ campaign and they planned a ‘Bengaluru Chalo’ march on November 29 against the Kiss of Love campaign.
Speaking in a press conferences at Pattumudi Saudha in Mangaluru, Swami Pranavananda, president of the State unit of the Mahasabha, said that if the State government gave green signal for the campaign, it might lead to law and order problem.
The campaign proposed was not in accordance with Indian culture. It is a open sex, Christian missionaries have a hand in this. If allowed, it might prompt occurrences of rape in the State. The counter protests to the campaign might lead to law and order problems.
Pranavananda said that the activists of Mahasabha would storm M.G. Road on November 29 to stop the campaign. He said that Mahasabha would give Rs. 1,001 cash to each participant who would oppose the campaign. We will also warn the parents of the participants.
He claimed that 12 MPs and 45 MLAs in the State have come forward to sponsor funds to the Mahasabha to oppose the campaign. He refused to divulge details on it.
Pranavananda said that Mahasabha activists would sit on hunger strike in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Mangaluru on November 26 to protest against the proposed campaign in Bengaluru.
