Mangalore:Acting upon a complaint lodged by a resident of Moodushedde, the Pandeshwar police have registered cases against Bhajrangdal leader Sharan Pumpwell and Kerala Hindu Aikya Vedike Vice President Kuntaru Ravish Tantri on the charges of delivering communally provocative speeches. The complainant is one Mohammed Saifullah.
The complainant had said that Sharan while addressing a protest rally demanding ban on cow slaughter had warned of a repeat of communal violences if the practice of cow slaughter continued.
Tantri, meanwhile has been accused of stating that those carrying out cow slaughter will not be allowed out of their houses.
The two have been booked under Section 153(a) of the IPC.
