Mangaluru : To oppose Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan arrival in Mangaluru on February 25, the Dakshina Kannada BJP and other Hindu outfits marched a protest rally from Jyothi Circle to Nehru Maidan on February 24.
Kerala State BJP Committee member Ravish Tanthri, said, Pinarayi Vijayan has no right to speak about communal harmony.He can take part in government programme or political convention but how he delivering speech on communal harmony “ Tanthri added.
Hindu outfits not opposed to the communal harmony rally and were only protesting the participation of Pinarayi Vijayan whom he held responsible along with Kodiyaari Balakrishnan and P Jayarajan for the prevailing disharmony in Kerala, he said.
The members of BJP Dakshina Kannada, VHP and Bajrangdal, Hindu Jagarana Vedike and Sri Rama Sene joined to protest rally.
Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje, Nalin Kumar Kateel, Former minister Krishna Palemar, former MLC Monappa Bhandary, Jagadish Shenava, A Badrinath Kamath, Sharan Pumpwell and Satyajit Suratkal and others were present.
