Mangalore : The Nagarika Hitharakshana Vedike( Civik welfare forum) Kuttar members and local residence held a demonstration of protest on Thursday.

Demanding the revaersal of proceedings No 27 were, instead of  Ashraya project housing project a Madarasa (religious school) and a mosque  were being constructed by some muslims against the rules of Ashraya Plan . There was a first floor being constructed on the spot two accommodate  both the aspects of Madarasa and mosque  .

The demonstration was led by Bajrang Dal local convener Sharan Pumpwell, district convener Bhujanga Kulal,  convener Pravin Kuthar, VHP Ullal secretary Narayana Kumpala, Pradeep Pumpwell, locals Vishwanath Nayak, Subhash Anchan, Madhava Kulal, Ravi Asaigoli and others were present.

The area was earmarked for constructing a residential colony under the Ashraya project for housing purposes and not for prayer hall or a school which normally disturb the peace in the collny.
