Mangalore: The Hindu Samajotsava being organized at the central Maidan in the city on January 2 under the aegis of Hanumat Shakti Jagarana Samiti at 4 pm, said District president of Hanumat Shakti Jagaran Samiti, Ravishankar Mijar.
He was speaking at the press meet held at the office of the Hindu Samajotsava near Bunts Hostel Circle in the city on December 22, Wednesday. He said that prior to the stage programme held at Nehru Maidan, the Hindu activists will participate in the procession led from Jyothi circle at 3 pm accompanied by various religious tableaux.
He reiterated that Hindu Samajotsavas are part of a national programme, and that its critics are wrong in terming them as programmes aimed at winning votes for certain political outfits. He stated that the Hindu Samajotsav has no connection with election and politics.
Vishwa Hindu Parishat leader, Prof M B Puranik, said that the Hindus have got some success in their endeavours in the form of the Allahabad High Court judgment in Ayodhya dispute. However, the judgement given by the High Court, in Ayodhya issue is not justice by distributing among three sects, hence the activists have applied for Supreme Court judgment.
He said that the hindu activists are going every houses of hindus and distribute the flags and stickers of Hindu Samajotsav and collect the amount of Rs 10 and he urged the people to support in their work.
Condemn the word ‘Saffron Terrorism’ use by other religious people and he said that, Saffron is a symbol of peace, unity and harmony and we will not tolerate this act.
