Mangalore:On Sunday, December 4 at 6 PM at Town Hall in port city, watch for ‘Nada Vittala-Veda Vittala’ a vocal music Jugalbandhi(a paired Concert), organised by Sangeet Bharati Foundation of Narendra L. Nayak, a celebrated harmonium player and educationist in Mangalore.
The chairman of Expert Education and Charitable Foundation spoke to Pressmen on Wednesday and told that the competitive concert was an applied version of Hindustani Classical Vocal(music).
The idea is to popularise practical classes of such a vocal among educated common people.
Anand Bhate of Pune and Jayateertha Mevundi will render one hour of classical vocal and 2 hours of Santvani(devotional) together.
Bharat Kamath who had accompanied Bhimsen Joshi on 500 Concerts, would play on Tabla, said NL Nayak Prasad Joshi will be on Pakhawaz and J. Takalkar on Taal(cymbals). Karnataka Bank sponsors the rare musical event. Entry is by passes or an invitation. Rafiq khan was present.
