Mangalore : The District Hindu Janajagrithi Samithi will hold the protest on October 18, Monday, against the district administration steps to remove the illegal religious structures across Dakshina Kannada as per the order of Supreme Court.
Ram Bhat, leader of HJS, speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands Friday, October 15 said that, organization has been bound to hold the protest since large number of hindu religious structures has been listed as illegal.
Around 69 religious structures out of 86 illegal religious structures belonging to hindus in the Mangalore taluk. This is an insult for Hindu society, Hence it must be protested.
On Monday, the protest will commence at 10:30 am at Sharavu Ganapathi Temple in the city by offering ‘Dharmadhwaja Pooja. Later protesters will organize a rally and assemble in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner. Over 5000 people are expected to participate in the protest.
Office bearers of HJS Ramesh K Nayak, IV Rao and Kamath were present.
