Mangaluru: Hindu Janajagrati Vedike staged protest against the PM Narendra Modi’s statement on cow vigilantes, in front of DC office on Tuesday.

Addressing the gathering Prabhakara Padiyar, Jilla Samanvayak HJV said that HJV condemns the statement of PM Modi,’80% of the cow vigilantes are fake and those people should be punished’ said PM. This statement has created an unrest among the true cow vigilantes.

“This statement has been given to attract the votes of minorities and his statement will be recorded as a governmental order. This will be a de-motivation for the true co vigilantes. Some of the cow vigilantes were attacked by illegal cattle transporter and some have lost their lives also,” he said.

He further urged PM Modi to revoke the statement on cow vigilantes and to strengthen the laws of illegal cow trafficking.

“Without help of corrupt politician and police no one can transport cattle illegally. If the laws are strengthened then there won’t be any need of cow vigilantes,” he added.
