Belthangady: Karnataka state Home Minister Dr G Parameshwar called and condolence the family members of soldier Ekanath Shetty who went missing from the Air force aircraft AN-32 which lost the contact after taking off in Bay of Bengal.
He has apologised for the delay in contacting the family and assured to take the responsibility of the family. On Tuesday CM Siddaramaiah had called the family and before that Central Defence Minister Manohar Parikkar had also contacted the family.
RSS leader Dr Prabhakar Bhat Kalladka and his wife Dr Kamala Bhat visited Ekanath’s house. SDM Educational Trust Secretary Dr B Yashovarma and Dr B A Kumara Hegde also cdolenced the family members. He has assured to make alternate facility for Ekanath’s daughters exams and attendance.
Ex Servicemen Association President Kanchodu Gopalkrishna Bhat has received information saying that the control room has got signals from the flight’s data board. The control board have recived the signal for five times from the Electronic Lighting Transmission (ELT). But it is not confirmed that the transmitted signals are of AN-32.
