Bangalore : Karnataka Home Minister R Ashok today indicated possible involvement of the blacklisted Karnataka Front for Dignity (KFD) in terrorist activities, including the IISc shootout and serial blasts that rocked the city.
Talking to reporters here, he, however, said KFD’s involvement in terrorist activities would become more clear only after the completion of the ongoing investigations.
The department was presently conducting the inquiry into the recent murder of a hotel student from Hunsu for a ransom in Chikkaballapur, he said, adding three people had been arrested in connection with the murder and another one was absconding.
The organisation was also suspected of killing another man for gain in 2010, he said.
Karnataka government has already blacklisted the organisation for its known anti-national activities.
The Home Minister also held a meeting with Lokayukta deparment and initiated some actions with sanctioning of funds modernisation.
He also agreed to consider the demand by the Lokayukta staff to provide status and benefits to them in conducting inquiries on par with the police department.
