Mangalore: DYFI chief Muneer Katipalla reiterated here on Thursday that only through continuous struggle against injustice, can our rights be secured, as such those who lost their lands or have no plots of land to construct houses (of their own), must fight together to demand and obtain their just rights to live on.
He was speaking at a meeting at Parangipet in Pudu Panchayat, called for mass application submissions by land less people demanding their right to a home but have been deprived so far. Local leader Jabbar Maripalla also spoke on the occasion.
“The homeless people here in Pudu Panchayat are roaming around the GP submitting applications again and again since 10 years now. A fight is on and there is a programme on April 26 of ‘DC Office Chalo’ for which local people have to assemble in large numbers”, he called. Hundreds gave their applications to GP chairman Akhtar Hussain. The pretest was led by several local leaders.
