Mangalore: a two-day national conference on recent trends in healthcare is held on Friday and Saturday at Kankanady Father Muller Medical College Hall.
Making the key note address Dr Rohan Monis of Unity Health Complex, Mangalore stated that in modern days the patients coming in to hospitals are very demanding in their health care treatment by doctors whom they expect to be morally uplifting.
He added that the various health care quotients are expected to be in proper places in modern day hospitals and doctors.
Dr Monis wanted the medical staff in hospitals to be knowledgeable and the treatment to be human.
Chief of Medical Services Dr B Sanjeev Rai in his inaugural speech said the doctors have to cope up with recent trends in health care as patients have learnt to ask for better healthcare and administration apart from medical knowledge from the doctors and the nurses in the hospital.
A souvenir was released on the occasion.
