Sirisi: An attractive exhibition of flowers and fruits organised by the local horticulture department since February 29 is drawing large crowds.

Such a programme being unusual people are arriving in large numbers to see flowers and vegetables also fruits.

Over 30,000 people have come on first 2 days, to see hundreds of verities of flower in all their colours and appeal feel ecstatic at their friendly sight.

Whole families are reaching the exhibition site to watch the great lovely show. They belong to various taluks of Uttar Kannada, such as Kumta, Ankola, Dandeli Bhatkal, Joida, and Karwar and are eagerly taking part in the colourful scenes at the state horticultural show from morning till evening here.

The stalls give proper basic information of various departments that have arranged the magnificent exhibition.

There are homely products on sale prepared by local (Women) self-help group. Flowers in pots forest department activities and fruits in verities are all there.

An expert team has arrived from Bangalore to tend the exhibits. There are many types of roses and over 16,000 flowers are display here.

It looks as if Sirisi Jatra is on but it is a Fruits Vegetables and Flowers growing show.

People are taking seeds nuts and cuttings home, to grow them.
