Mangalore : The Kannada Daily Hosa Digantha organized a programme ‘Rastra Devo Bhava’ presented by Sanatana Natyalaya, Mangalore at Town Hall on November 4, Thursday.
The programme is being conducted with the aim to inculcate the patriotism in the people with the inspiration of Samskara Bharathi.
N Vinaya Hegde, president, Nitte Educational Institution inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp in front of ‘Bharath Matha’.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the imagination which he had towards his mother land in mind when he was young, still could not flourish. Sometimes the people betray their own mother land and the inner feelings remind of ‘Rastra droho bhava’. The actual service rendered to the mother land is by RSS and I salute their discipline, dedication and patriotism.
Any developmental work taking place in society is only possible because of the arrogance of the RSS or Sangha, he informed.
B R Bhat, chairman, Corporation Bank said that people organize different kinds of programme but none of them organized the programme devoted to ‘Bharath Matha’. Due to this the reputation of the newspaper goes up naturally, he added.
M N Rajendra Kumar, president, SCDCC Bank, P Jayaram Hande, chairman, Karnataka Bank, M B Puaranik, Leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishath and Dr Vaman Shenoy were present on the dais.
Prakash P S, welcomed the guests and gathering. Pramila Rao, compered the stage programme. Anand Shetty, chief reporter of Hosa Digantha proposed vote of thanks.
Later the students and professional dance presented the cultural programmes beginning with ‘Vande Matharam’.
Adarsh Ghokhale, Karkala compered the cultural programme.
Chandra Shekar K Shetty, director of Cultural programme, dance co-ordinators like Sharadha Mani Shekar, Sujatha S Rao, Srilatha Nagaraj, Sudhindra J Shanthi and Adarsh Ghokhale, Karkala were honoured with a shawl and a memento by the dignitaries present on the dais.
