Kadaba : The Hosamutt bridge which provides a link to the famous pilgrim town of Subrahmanya has submerged due to incessant rains on July 3, Wednesday. This is the first time it has inundated this monsoon. No sooner the bridge was submerged, gates on either sides of the bridge have been closed by the Home Guards and the police personnel.

The bridge is located on the Kadaba -Uppinangady state highway and traffic on the route was affected following the closure of the bridge.

All rivers are overflowing and rain water has also flooded several fields in the area. Holiday has also been declared for educational institutions.
