Addressing press persons on October 6, Tuesday, He has said there was a lot of confusion in the minds of the people regarding the Ayushman Bharat scheme and said people were facing a lot of difficulties in times of crisis, there was a need to set up a toll free helpline at the DC office to assist people.
Khader also claimed that patients have not received hassle-free service under the scheme. He also questioned the change in nodal officers and said experienced staff must be appointed as nodal officers.
Former MLA Abhayachandra Jain who also spoke said there were many cases of hospitals charging hefty bills and of many people being unable to get benefits of Ayushman scheme and said the District Minister and health minister have to resolve the issue.
