Mangaluru: A man committed suicide by hanging himself in his hotel at Bajpe town on Monday.

The deceased is identified as Yashwant Shetty (49), the owner of the hotel.

Yashwant, brother of Vishwanath Shetty, a Taluk Panchayat member from Kandavar constituency. Yashwant left the home on Monday morning and brother was called to his mobile phone and did not receive the call, when he arrived at the hotel, Yashwant found hanging from the ceiling fan and committing suicide.

The deceased suffering from illness for some time. A case has been registered at the Bajpe Station.
