Puttur : Police have arrested four people involved in a robbery of cash and Gold worth 2 lakh from a house in , Koornadka. Anusha (19), daughter of Narase Gowda from Tumkur district , Sumitra (40) from Hassan district, Girish and Gopinath from Sakleshpur are identified as accused. On July 27, a theft had taken place at a house of Businessman A B Viegas. He had filed a complaint at the police station. and after investigation four were arrested .

Anusha and Sumithra took the help of friends when they were on work as maid at the house of Viegas and made away with two bangles, two chains and Rs 5000 cash totally valued at Rs.2 lakh. Part of the loot was sold at a Jewelry shop and with the rest Rs.70,000/-was borrowed by pledging the rest of the gold. All the stolen items wee seized by the police . The accused were produced in court.
