Mangalore : State Housing Minister Ambarish was in Mangalore on October 17, Thursday. It was his first visit to Mangalore as a minister. He visited Kudupu and Shaktinagar areas with officials.
He also participated in a review meeting with officials at the DC office. Later speaking to reporters, he said the government has plans to launch an Affordable Housing Policy in two months. He said the Policy would benefit the poor who want to own a house and added the project would be launched under PPP model.
On the Basava Housing Scheme, he said he said he would speak to the Chief minister on providing more time for he beneficiaries to construct their houses considering the climate of the region.
Deputy Commissioner N Prakash, MCC Commissioner Ajith Kumar, ZP CEO Tulasi Maddineni and several officials were present.
