Mangalore : A huge mango tree as old as one and a half century  located at Derebail Konchady near the Land Links Township, has collapsed due to heavy rains and strong winds on June 17, Monday morning.

The tree fell on to the road and damaged a compound wall of the playground located close by  Land Links township. Two electric poles also came down leaving power supply disrupted to nearly 750 houses in the vicinity.

However, no one was injured in the incident.
