Mangaluru: A huge peepal tree near Venkataramana Temple at Car Street here fell on three vehicles on Sunday, January 24.

The peepal tree got uprooted and fell on the vehicles at around 8.10 am today.

A crane, a water tanker, and one car were damaged in the incident. No other casualties were reported.

Sources said that the tree was well over 300 years old,

Police and fire personnel arrived at the spot and began operation to clear the debris.
