Mangaluru: “Human right violation can be observed in our own home. Children are being scolded by the parents for various reasons, couple fight with each other in front of children which will have adverse effect on them,” said District and Sessions court Judge K S Bilagi.
He was speaking after inaugurating the human rights day at DC office on Saturday organised by state human rights commission, district administration, district legal service authorities, NGO’s and St Agnes College.
“Only the disciplined parents can grow their children in a disciplined environment. Basic values of being human should be taught by the parents to the children. When we born, we born as humans. But after that we fight for religion and caste,” he said.
He further said that no religion teaches to hate others. During emergency no one looks for vegetarian blood or non-vegetarian blood or no one runs behind the blood of same religion. God has given only date of birth, but not the expiry date.
“Human values have no expiry date. Human rights day is not a celebration for only one day; it should be celebrated each and every day. We should live for others.
