Mangalore: It was a rude shock for many when a few human skulls and skeletal remains of human body were found amid wastes in a garbage bin close by the busy KSRTC bus stand at Bejai in Mangalore on Wednesday, June 20.

A large crowd gathered at the scene on getting to hear about the news. As many as four human skulls and some femur and limb bones were found.

Police suspect that some medical students might have discarded the skulls in the bin. At the same time, such skeletal remains used in hospitals and medical colleges will have the initials of the respective institutions. It is not known if any such initial is found in these skeletal remains.

It was a passerby who first happened to notice the skulls and immediately the police were informed. Here it is worth mentioning that human skulls and bones were similarly found in a garbage bin near Morgansgate in Mangalore last year around the same time.
