Mangaluru : The husband and wife allegedly ended their lives  at Pinto’s Lane near Kadri in the wee hours of Wednesday June 9.

The deceased are identified as Suresh Shetty (62) and his wife Vani (55). The body of the husband was discovered in the well while the wife was found hanging inside the house.

It is said, a death note was found in place which says that the financial crisis is suspected to be the reason which led them to take the extreme step.  Vani was serving as a clerk at a private college.

Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar also visited the spot. Kadri police have registered a case.
