Moodbidri  : A man had killed his wife at Daregudde gram panchayat limits on Wednesday August 18 morning.

The deceased is  Sunita (30), resident of Matta at Daregudde gram panchayat.

It is said, the husband and wife start quarrel each other. Reportedly, Dinraj, in a fit of rage, had hit his wife’s head with a wooden pestle, inflicting lethal injury. Later, Dinraj called Sunita’s relativ and took her to the hospital at Beluvai but the hospital refused to admit her.

Then she was taken to a hospital in Mangaluru. But Sunita failed to respond to treatments and passed away.

As her mother lived alone, Sunita used to stay with her and Dinraj too lived with them. It is said that he was working for a battery shop in Moodbidri. The incident happened when Sunita’s mother was away visiting a neighbour.

Dinraj was arrested by the Moodbidri police on Wednesday morning.
