Mangalore: The Indian Dental Association in association with AJ Institute of Dental Sciences and Dakshina Kannada Autorickshaw drivers Association organized ‘World No Tobacco Day’ at Indian Medical Association on May 31, Tuesday.
Ivan D’Souza, president of DK Autorickshaw Drivers Association and KPCC general secretary was the chief guest on the occasion.
On behalf of the ‘World No Tobacco Day’, the students of AB Shetty Memorial College organized a street play on no tobacco opposite Central Market and at Mangalore Central Railway Station advising the ill effects of tobacco.
Speaking to Mangalore Today, Dr Sanjay Nayak, said that already 70 auto drivers have registered their names for free dental camp at mobile hospital of AJ Institute of Dental Science. Around 200 drivers are expected to participate in the free dental camp, he said.
Dr Shubam Alva, president of IDA, Dr Jeethesh, Dr Murali and others were present.
DK Bus Drivers Association also participated in the camp.
