Bangalore: Dakshina Kannada district with a total pass percentage of 85.70 has topped the state in the II PUC results announced on May 23, Wednesday by state Minister for Education Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri. Udupi stood second with a pass percentage of 85.32 followed by Kodagu which secured a per centage of 73.11.
The total pass per centage in the state is 57.03 which is an improvement by 8 per cent when compared to last year. Of the six lakh students who appeared, 15,4296 passed in first class, 81224 in second class and 4634 in third class. Yadagiri district stood last in the results.
The Minister said this was the best result in II PUC in the state so far.
Deepa, a student of MES Kishore Kendra PU College stood first in Science with a total marks of 593 while in Commerce Raveena Jain of Mahaveera Jain College topped with 591 marks.
