Bengaluru : Revenue Minister Mr R Ashoka has said that illegal houses constructed in rural and urban areas prior to January 1, 2015 will be regularized under the Karnataka Land Revenue Act 1964, col 94 (c) and 94 (CC). Earlier, March 31, 2019 was the last date for receipt of applications. Now, this has been extended till March 31, 2022. After receipt of the applications and verification of the documents, record of rights will be distributed by March 31, 2023.Revenue Minister R. Ashok told presspersons that beneficiaries are low-income families who have been living on government land across cities in the State.
Uploading of Data.
The Revenue Department has provided an option to regularize the illegal cultivation of government land by landless and marginal farmers prior to January 1, 2005 under the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 section94-A (4). The Revenue Department has issued notification for uploading data received in pro forma 57 for regularizing illegal cultivation in government land.
Earlier, there was a provision to receive applications between March 17,2018 to March 16, 2019. So far, 8,57, 640 applications have been received out of which 3,74,087 have been uploaded. The remaining 4,83,533 applications will be uploaded by July 31 which will help the landless and marginal farmers who are benefited under this, said the Revenue Minister.
