Panaji-Goa: There will be no change in the Goa Government, until Shah Commission probe report is received by ruling Congress party here, said Jagjit Singh Brar, incharge secretary of AICC for Goa here, on Thursday, September.29. Obviously Goa follows a policy laid down by Karnataka in matters of illegal mining.
Brar ruled out a change in the present government(Congress) headed by Digambar Kamath in Panaji until Shah report comes to hand, Kamat will survive, he implied.
Kamat and some of his colleagues are accused of being involved in exporting iron are illegally after production, in several mines, as per a report submitted by state Accounts Committee in Goa.
But what has happened is that “Sesa Goa” Company licence in Pirnem has been cancelled by central government. Vedant group-Sesa Goa has closed shop in Karnataka as well, for providing false information to the Govt. Likewise, the licences of 19 iron are producing companies in Goa, in an area of 10kms, have been cancelled now, Government informed on Thursday(September.29).
