Mangalore : The problem on the NH at Adyar, Kannur which saw knee deep water on the highway during the recent heavy rains, has been solved, with the MCC officials making the right move and demolishing the wall of a building which had blocked a storm water drain.

The side drain was blocked due to the constructions  by Kanchana Automobiles and a private property owner named Gopalkrishna, least bothering about the consequences of their act.

The MCC officials who arrived at the spot were successful in persuading Kanchana Automobiles to remove the obstruction. However, Gopalkrishna was unrelenting forcing the officials to act and demolish the wall obstructing rain water.

Local corporator Sudhir Shetty was also present, MCC Joint Commissioner Srikanth Rao said strict action would follow against Gopalkrishna who flouted rules.
