Illegally selling IMFL liquor sized at Puttur

Puttur : The Puttur police have arrested two persons on charges of illegally selling liquor.

The accused have been identified as Babu Poojary (48) and Ganesha (32), both residents of Kemminje village.

It is said, Babu and Ganesha were selling Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) and beer without any legal permit.

ASI Jamburaj Mahajan of city police station raided Kallagudde of Kemminje village on definite information.

The total value of the liquor and cash confiscated is said to be Rs 26,118. A case in this connection has been registered under Karnataka Excise Act.
