Sullia: A teacher hailing from Sullia attempted suicide at her residence at Manganahalli, Bengaluru, on Friday. It is alleged that improper investigation by the police in her case is the motive behind the suicide attempt.
Dr Lakshmi V is the teacher who attempted suicide.
No case has been registered at police station regarding the suicide attempt. Now she is recovering at the hospital and doctors have informed that she is out of danger.
Lakshmi was working in the government college in DK district in the past. A case was filed by her in the police station alleging harassment by the college principal. Then, she was transferred to government PU College at Nelamangala about a year back.
On Friday she had received a call from the Sullia police station. Police wanted to file a B report and saying that they haven’t got any credible evidence in her case. Shocked by this information by the police Lakshmi listed out the reasons on her facebook profile for deciding to end her life.
Lakshmi has alleged that police haven’t investigated properly on her case. When she met DK SP he had promised her for the re-investigation of the case, but he turned back with the decision of Sullia policemen after they decided to file a B report, said her son.
Lakshimi’s friend who saw her fb post contacted Lakshmi’s husband and son through phone and son rushed to the home. Lakshmi was admitted to the hospital as she had fallen sick.
