DC Subodh Yadav inaugurated the national consumer day Mangalore : DC Subodh Yadav inaugurated the national consumer day celebration held under the joint auspices of district administration, food and civil supplies department Mangalore, district consumer federation and district consumer information centre at the Ganapathy High School Hall in the city on Monday January 10 at 10.00 am.
National consumer day Speaking on the occasion, he said that, Consumer must be aware about dramatic weight variations, quality, price and brand of the product to avoid possible fraud taking place in the society.
Delivering his keynote address, District Consumer Federation president M J Salian said that consumer act which came into existence in the year 1986 has helped the consumer to register complaints if in case they are cheated by the supplier.
National consumer day He also said as per the Consumer Protection Act 1984, every district should have Consumer Information Centre. There are five Consumer Information Centres in Karnataka including that of Dakshina Kannada.
National consumer day P Shivashankar, chief executive officer of Zilla panchayat presided over the occasion. DDPI Chame Gowda Food and Civil Supplies Department deputy director Vrushabha Rajendra Moorthy and principal of GHS Shanthakumari Devi were present.

    Celebrating National Consumer Day is not enough If this organisation is true in their mission then you will really help me recover a huge amount from 2 parties in Mangalore who are suppliers in Imitation Jewelry beauty & Sringar products etc these parties come to Mumbai buy products on credit basis assuring payments within a month initially they paid part of the amount now they do not even attend our phone calls when we visited in person they promised to send us the money at the earliest but when we never heard from them my husband visited again he was given no response instead told him do what you can as they very well know that this transaction was made some amount in bill the mode of payment was requested by them as per taxation benefits 1 party 10 lakhs balance and the other is 5.50 lakhs balance to be paid please can you help if we can approach a person who can help recover my money as my husband is sick and cannot make a trip again to Mangalore if I get proper response from your organisation I shall forward u details of the shopkeepers Thanks
