Kasaragod : Inaugurating a Convention of Kerala Tulu Academy in VJT auditorium in Kerala capital city on July 14, Wednesday, CM V.S. Achyuthanandan assured that he would make sincere attempts to get Tulu languages included in the 8th schedule of the attending a cultural session as part of the Tulu Academy Convention in city.
The Tulu Script was in its Sunset days, but efforts should be made to put all works now found in Kannada Script into Tulu, he added. He released the Tulu translation of ‘Karna Parva’ written by Dr. V.R. Puninchathaya, M.A. Baby educational Minister, presided. He assured more funds for Tulu Yakshagana development. Opposition leader Q. Chandy and  some Ministers also spoke on the occasion.
M. Vijaya Kumar, Law Minister, inaugurated the Conference. A work shop on Tulu language and literature was held. Multi lingual session were also held.
