Unity-health-ComplexMangalore; Unity Health complex, one of Mangalore’s leading healthcare provider, has stepped into its 35th year of formation on June 1, Friday. Having completed 34 fruitful years of existence, looking back the Founder and all others associated with Unity, are proud of the achievements of and the progress registered by the institution over the years.

Located at Falnir in Mangalore, this full-fledged hospital, with state-of-the art health care facilities has emerged as the most trusted hospital for not only people of the district, but also for those from the neighboring Kerala, Goa, various parts of Karnataka as well as Gulf nations. It has the credit of treating over 3 lakh foreign patients so far.

Dr. C.P. Habeeb Rehman, Founder and Chairman of Unity Health Complex says the 300-bed super specialty hospital, is on an average treating 15000 in-patients and 75,000 outpatients every year. The hospital has 100 doctors, 200 nurses and 600 allied staff, he informs.

Unity is the first hospital of Mangalore to have a Dialysis unit, a full-fledged intensive care unit   and is the first hospital in the private sector installing spiral CT scanner in the whole of India. The list goes on.Unity also as an ambulance service in case of emergencies (105 707).

Unity is o an ISO-9001-2008 certified hospital and has won accolades at national and international level. The hospital has 22 departments and recently has started a state-of the art cardiac surgery unit. The hospital also offers treatment at confessional rates to poor patients.

Several dignitaries including UPA Chief Sonia Gandhi and former prime inister Deve Gowda have visited the Hospital. Unity also runs a Nursing College since 1982 offering MSc, BSc courses in nursing and other para medical courses.
