New Delhi : A lieutenant colonel of the Indian Army was reportedly “honey-trapped” by Pakistan’s intelligence agencies into spying for them, sources in the army headquarters in New Delhi said on Tuesday.
The infantry officer, whose name has been withheld by the army headquarters, is facing a court of inquiry in this regard, the sources said.
The officer was in Bangladesh this summer to attend a course at one of their military academies when he was trapped by Pakistan’s intelligence agencies.
He reportedly developed an intimate relationship with a woman, who was acting at the behest of Pakistan’s intelligence agencies, the sources added.
